Square 8: Twisted Columns

This is the second square in the Twist-Stitch Pattern section (and #26 in the book), which looks cool with variegated yarn. This square also incorporated left and right twists, but was much easier to knit because the gauge was looser, thanks in part to knitting with two yarns.

Twisted Columns Square

Like the Rose Fabric, this square knitted quickly. I finished it in a few hours one weekend.

  • [...] This is Square 27 in the book, and the second in the third in the Twist Stitch section.  This one was considerably more difficult than the Twisted Columns square, because the pattern changed pretty much every row.  I made this square 5 rows shorter than the pattern called for, because many of my other squares are smaller than expected, and I was ready to move on to something else.  I do think the pattern is very pretty, just not fun to knit.
