Happy Mother’s Day

May 10th, 2009 § 0

Hannah was waiting for this day all weekend.  Her teacher had saved extra art supplies for her because she knew that Hannah had two moms.  She made a card, gave me a frog book that she had done at school, and wrote me a story about the life cycle of the newt (something she had been researching for science class).

Brandon and the kids also got me two new skeins of Mountain Colors Bearfoot sock yarn in the Mountain Twilight colorway, a pattern for a baby sweater and enough yarn to make it plus a hat and booties for the baby, and a ball winder!

The ball winder is really cool, no more winding skeins by hand, though Kaity still has to hold the yarn as I wind it. But when it’s done, the skein is a nice center pull cake that won’t roll away as I knit.  Awesome.
