As for the title and tagline, they are references to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy by Douglas Adams. I read the books in junior high and high school (eons ago – just ask the kids), and loved them. Douglas had a lovely, twisted sense of humor. Turns out, so do we. I suggested the books to Brandon after we met, and he loved them, too. Kaity’s listened to the first two (we checked them out from the library), and all the kids enjoyed the movie – especially the dolphin song. The really cool thing is the audiobooks are read by the author, which is fabulous, because you know he read them the way they were meant to be read.
Share and Enjoy was the motto of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation – a company that made products guaranteed to fail. Life, the Universe, and Everything was the third book in the five book trilogy. Both reflect the purpose of our blog – to share our lives with distant family and friends, and talk about life, the universe, and everything, while also reflecting our collective warped sense of humor.
